Disclaimer: This form of lore doesn't follow the "vanilla" mythology as told in the books. Hades here will have children not bore by Persephone, most of which will be half breeds.Cerin is a demigod. A child born from the union of a god and a human being. The god part of them comes from their father's side, Hades, while the human part stems from their mother's side. They do age, but at a slower rate than their human counterparts. And they can very much perish if they are fatally wounded. But most times they will heal faster than they can bleed out.Alongside their extended lifespan, they possess great physical prowess and supernatural abilities based on their parentage. For Cerin, these specific skills align with the underworld, so manipulating underworld creatures, summoning the dead and shapeshifting, among other skills, all fall within their scope of power. Though, they have much to learn so this list may grow longer as time progresses.While it is shown that Cerin is a demi-god, they do not go about advertising it. If it comes up in conversation naturally, they will disclose this information. The only way that a person could recognize that they were part god, were if they were also part or entirely of godly descent. Therefore, if you want to interact with Cerin in that regard, gently broach the topic of the supernatural or death and perhaps they may share their lineage with you.Additionally, A/B/O rules can apply for certain situations and partners. In which case, Cerin is considered a Alpha-Omega hybrid depending upon how the other person presents. BACKGROUND

Cerin found out from an early age that things never last forever. There was always an expiration date, whether you could see it or not.The first time was when his pet hamster passed away. The second time was when his seventh grade teacher broke the news that one of their students — his best friend — passed away in a car accident. The third time that put the final nail in the metaphorical coffin that was his beliefs came in the form of a person who gave him everything … before taking that all away in one fell swoop with a single shot. He cried for days, weeks even, over it. But that was a past long ago. So long that he’s almost forgotten what they looked like.Since then, it’s been seven years and he’s fully embrace that death is just omnipresent. Waiting for a chance to snag even him and drag him down six feet under. Despite this morbid albeit realistic outlook, his mother has been the brightest light in his life, making sure he keeps at least one foot grounded in the long world. Though, he knows it’s not easy because even if she’s his mother, she’ll pass away long before wrinkles start to take ahold of his skin.He owed this blessing and curse to his father, Hades, ruler of the underworld. Being one of the big three’s offspring wasn’t exactly something he’d celebrate. Rather, it was excruciatingly difficult to live life privy to the lifespans and fading spirits of human beings. And his dad wasn’t the most affectionate or present parent of the year. Cerin just learned to live with the constant disappearing act his father pulled from time to time.He supposed that his current career as a mortician drew its inspiration from his own unusual upbringing. The deaths that followed him pushed him to find a path to ease the pain that came with meeting one’s end. But it always made him laugh knowing that a child of Hades chose to work with cadavers for living. It felt like a set up and yet, he enjoyed what he did in giving the dead one last service.Still, he felt the kiss of death graze his cheek time and time again. And one day he knows he’ll be devoured by it. But for now he lives, breathes, loves, cries like any person out there in the vast landscape called this world hoping maybe he’ll find salvation in the Elysian Fields when he meets his maker.
